Why we began this journey
BlackOwnedYAHlove was born from a deep-seated observation: the beauty industry frequently overlooked the specific needs and health of melanated skin. Time and again, the ingredient lists revealed toxins and harmful chemicals, quite literally putting our sisters' health at risk. We knew something had to change.

At BlackOwnedYAHlove, we believe that skincare is a form of self-respect. Our journey began with the realization that the skincare industry often overlooks melanated skin's specific needs, or worse, fills products with toxins. We made the decision to create something better.

What makes our oils special?
Our organic body oils stand apart because every single ingredient is safe and harvested by black African and African American hands—black farmers and croppers who are intentionally overlooked and left out of the economic loop. This is our small way of squeezing us back into the loop.
